This was the second dessert for this weekend’s bridal shower. As we went with the love/sex theme for the desserts we decided that whoopie pies would make a good co-pilot for the pinneapple delight. The placecard says “let’s make whoopie.”
Because these are quite sweet we cut them in half and found this was a good move on our part.

This weekend i helped host a bridal shower (my second in one month!).
I was in charge of desserts so i went with a love/sex theme . This is my mom’s recipe for pinneapple delight. We made a little placecard for it that says “sky rockets in flight.” sing it with me now, “afternoon delight!”
Get it?
Here is the recipe (though i can never make it as good as my mom and am sure she’s hiding some secret):
Recipe is for 8x8. Double the recipe for a 9x13.
Butter pan well.
Graham crust— 1 1/2 c graham wafer crumbs 1/2 c hard margarine melted Save one third for topping. Press the rest of mixture into pan.
Filling— Whip: 8oz softened cream cheese Add and mix in: 1 c icing sugar
In a separate bowl whip: 2 pkg dream whip following pkg directions except skimp on the milk a little
Add and mix in: 14 oz can well drained crush pinneapple
Fold the whipped cream mixture into the cream cheese mixture. Pour over graham crumb crust. Sprinkle the remainder of crumbs on the top.
Refrigerate for 8 hrs. Can also be frozen.
