Diy yarn lanterns:

My friend and i spent the day making yarn lanterns. We finally gave in to these blogosphere wonders. Here are our hints…

Use the glue mixtures that are prescribed (they are usually white glue, salt, water, cornstarch). This way it will dry clear.

Do not use straight modge podge.

Slather up your balloons with vaseline before you start.

Pay attention to them. Some of our balloons popped as they were drying which resulted in half collapsed shapes because we didn’t catch em in time.

The yarn worked easiest, but the twine looked prettiest.

We bought everything from the dollar store.

We think the could look very cute spraypainted!

Great idea for a wedding favor! You could put your guests names on the stickers and they could be placecards if you were having a seating chart wedding

Here is an awesome guest vid that jill from www.envirocraftiness.blogspot.com did for me about the paper flowers. She bunches them together to use for centerpieces. They still need to be painted and curled, butfor those instructions, just hit up her blog (sept 6 2010) or let your natural artistry fly!
